Our shellfish shuckers, like our chefs, are the life blood of our restaurant. All shuckers must be highly proficient with multi tasking and shucking large volumes of shellfish. Clean presentation, in conjunction with professional speed, is required. During service, the shucker greets and engages with the guests, and must be able to answers guests’ questions. Shuckers are required to have the same food, wine and beer knowledge as the front of house. Our shuckers will be taking food orders. The shucker will understand and follow food handling and safety standards.

 

Requirements

  • Shucks at least 12 oysters in 90 seconds time
  • Knowledge of POS touchscreen system
  • Encompasses proper hygiene
  • Full availability and flexible schedule
  • Able to work on their feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift 50+lbs

This position requires working in the dining room, as well as in the kitchen. The main tasks would consist of dish washing, pot washing, and equipment cleaning, The position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all kitchen equipment, cutlery, and plate- ware; according to food safety standards. Our server assistant will be required to deliver finished plates, clear dirty plates, and be able to describe the dishes to the guests. Looking for individual that has a positive attitude and great team work and can demonstrate good judgment, decision making, and problem solving skills.

Our kitchen is open to the public view, and our line cooks must feel comfortable performing while interacting with the guests. Our line cooks will be familiar with kitchen stations, including saute, grill, and fry. The ability to time manage, while communicating with the team is essential in the kitchen. Applicant will have previous experience handling and preparing food according to food safety standards. Our restaurant’s consistency is important, which is driven from the line cooks’ ability to prepare and follow our signature recipes, with the ability to create featured dishes, aligned with our menu style.

Our front of house team works together in all positions. The assigned areas of the fish market change through out the day, and a full understanding of each task is required.  Our fish market employees are responsible to cut portions of fish, keep a clean fish case display and store front, ring up retail orders on a touch screen computer system, and basic kitchen preparations.   The front of house will engage with the guests, making their experience unique and special with knowledge of all products sold.  The company relies on the front of house to work as a team, and must have a courteous and professional attitude in the work place.
