Raw Bar Shucker – CharlestonCharleston, SC
167 Hospitality has a position open on our raw bar for a proficient shellfish shucker at their Downtown Charleston location.
167 has a strong reputation for the best oysters and raw bar, which includes our staff. Our shellfish shuckers are the lifeblood of our establishment and hold the standard for proper shucking methods.
All shuckers must be highly proficient with multi-tasking and shucking large volumes of shellfish. Clean presentation, in conjunction with professional speed, is required. During service, the shucker greets and engages with the guests, and must be able to answer guests’ questions. Our shuckers are responsible for basic food preparation and kitchen help to aid in raw bar mise en place.

Requirements
- Shucks at least 9 oysters in 90 seconds time
- Encompasses proper hygiene
- Full availability and flexible schedule

Each restaurant offers a unique opportunity to work with high quality seafood, seasonal ingredients, and obscure products. Our kitchen settings are all different, and we pair cooks with the kitchen for the best fit and encourage creativity and growth.
167 Hospitality is seeking experienced cooks to be familiar with kitchen stations, including garde manger, sauté, grill, and fry. Applicants will have previous experience handling and preparing food according to food safety standards. Our restaurant’s consistency is important, which is driven from the line cooks’ ability to prepare and follow our signature recipes, with the ability to create featured dishes, aligned with our menu style.
Benefits:
